When viewing a previously read thread I will click first unread post and it takes me to the first post, not first unread. I am on other forums with no problems viewing first unread. This only happens on this forum, any ideas? I went into the user control panel thinking there might be something to change there but found nothing. Thanks for any help.

Where is the place where you are seeing "FIRST unread post"? I see 'view unread posts' and it takes me to all that I have not read. I do not see any that says 'first'.

Hi,

I use Firefox and it's constantly updated to whatever the flavor of the week is. It gives me the same "first unread post" explanation for the icon the OP experienced. Then it tosses a coin: sometimes I get the FIRST post again, other times I get the first UNREAD one as expected. While it's not a really big problem, I never used to get the runaround using this feature, so maybe something's been changed in the background of the forum software? I dunno...

Click on any thread, e.g. this one I started or scroll up on this page to see it. Near top of page there are three choices;
Previous topic, First unread post and Next topic.

OK, I see it but since I know what I have already read and was interested in I just go back to the posts I want. Never saw the need for a something electronic to inform me what to read. :lol: :roll:

I hate to admit this, but I never paid any attention to that task bar, never in all these years.
Never NOTICED it. :shock:
Didn't know what this post was about, had to snoop around a bit.
I don't suppose this is something that was just added. :roll:
I am sooooo computer literate.
