Howdy! I have been reading a lot over the past several months. I think I'm ready to enter into the single action world.
Thinking about a 5.5" stainless Blackhawk Bisley in .45 colt.
What's a fair/going price for new vs. used? I appreciate your input!

Bud's Gun Shop sells them for just over $600. Add in your FFL transfer fee and you shuld be looking at $630 to $650 for a new one.

Used.... anything from an outright steal to new price..... availability, demand, how bad you want it, and how bad the seller wants to get rid of it. And, as always, condition, condition, condition.

As noted, those sell in the $600-$650 range new. Used ones command almost as much, UNLESS you find a seller who doesn't know what they have. The convertibles are the most desirable.

I'd go with the Super Blackhawk. I paid $629 for mine! The guy said he doesn't have many calls for "them type a guns". Wth! This was at a local gun show in Feb,2014. Medina, Ohio county fairgrounds. I guess I got lucky. I don't have dies, brass, bullets, yet! I'd watch KY Guns or Bud's. Hope this helps. BhK
