I called a neighbor of mine Saturday evening to see if he would bring his tractor over with his post hole digger and save me some hand work. Didn't answer, so I left a message. About an hour later his wife called, and said he was in the hospital. Apparently he was trying to load the tractor on a trailer the night before after cutting some hay at another neighbor's, by himself. On a hill, no less. :x :x :x

It sounds like he got it on, and the tractor started to roll. So he tried to stop it. The truck jack knifed, and somehow he ended up getting run over on his right side. He's got a crushed clavicle and several snapped ribs. Docs can't fix the shoulder as it's crushed, can't even bind his ribs because of the shoulder..... He got sent home yesterday. They say the biggest danger is a punctured lung. Hopefully he can avoid that.
He's a farmer, so he's going to need all the help he can get. He just sold his tree service last year, retired from that, as it was getting to be pretty hard on him. He's got 2 sons, 1 close, to help out. It's gonna be a rough year for him.

Prayers for John and Karen appreciated, thanks.

Many thanks to all of you. I appreciate it, and I know he will as well, when I tell him that good people from all over this great country are praying for him.
He's 1 of those guys that will drop whatever he's doing to give you a hand when you need it. I called a couple other neighbors, many of which he's helped in the past. Time to return the favors!

Again, thanks to all. I know it will help.
