Prayer request

I had cataract surgery on one eye over a year ago. Not a single regret. I'll be having the other eye done in January. I wish I'd have done this sooner. It has improved the quality of my life immensely. I hope yours went as well as mine.

Prayers sent!

We were both recently offered eye surgery for cataract correction, but we both chickened out.

Do it WAYNO. You'll be happy you did. I drove into Bend for the after surgery appointment the next day and took the eyegaurd device off that evening for good. Keep up the course of eyedrops and everything heals fast. Absolutely no problems since

Wayno, they are required to tell you what could happen. Every pharmaceutical commercial does that. Do your homework and get a good surgeon. My cataract surgeon also did my SIL's cornea transplant. I knew he was good. Piece of cake! Confidence in the surgeon helps.
When I had to have a heart stint put in, it was the Dr that got his training at Mayo Clinic. He still gave me the warning.

Edit to add, he got all the difficult surgeries (same category as mine) but it helps. When they came to get me to take me into surgery, they said, just listen, don’t say anything unless he asks, he is very serious and there’s no joking around.
I like a serious surgeon.

In my prayers, OP.

I had cataract surgery in August. I was more worried than I should have been. It all went smoothly.

I’ve read that it’s the most commonly done surgical procedure in the US. Find a good surgeon you’re comfortable with. I visited 3 before finding one I thought was the right one.
