I use a lot of Unique for my .45 ACP pistol uses and have used some Power Pistol.
My thinking since Power Pistol is a tick slower burning and can give higher velocity within pressure
limits it might work very well in a 17 inch barrel carbine as in a Hi Power.

Anyone use this in their carbine loads?

With a barrel that long I would use a slower burning powder like used in magnums to take full advantage of the 17 in barrel. If you stay with reasonable loads they should burn all the powder and give excellent velocity with little pressure or recoil.

I figgered my 45 ACP carbine was designed to shoot a pistol round so I reload for just like my 45 ACP pistols. Some Bullseye loads, some Universal loads, and some CFE Pistol loads. I haven't run any over my chrony yet, but I see no advantage of slower "magnum"powders in my 18" barreled carbine.

17in. barrel would be considered a rifle load I agree with jgt a slower powder would
be better and more comfortable. ps
