Posting Picture??

Search can be your friend.

Sorry to seem so abrupt, but the subject comes up at least once per month.

Answer:
Put the picture on a web site (yours or some other one)
Use the IMG tag to post it on the forum. (requires the full URL)

You will need to use a picture hosting site. I starting using postimage.org. Works well for me. Faster then the old photobucket.

I have looked and looked but can't find how to post photo's.

Got a nice 1959 44 Mag I am thinking of selling.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Jim - I apologize for any rudeness that may have been shown your question.

1) Upload pics from your computer to one of the "free" pic-hosting websites ( http://www.imgur.com , http://www.postimage.org , etc, etc, etc - there are many).

2) After the pic(s) is/are uploaded to the host, click on the desired pic to isolate it from the herd.

3) "Copy" the pic's "direct url", then past the direct url into your forum post.

4) Immediately in front of the pasted url, type [ img ], w/o any spaces anywhere.

5) Immediately following the pasted url, type in [ /img ], again w/o any spacing anywhere

Your pasted pic url should look something like:

Your pic(s) should propagate after the post is submitted.

[CAVEAT: re-size your pics @ the pic-host, either as the pics are uploaded from your computer (postimage) or just B 4 copying the direct url (imgur), to under 800 pixels wide, so they will display properly on the forum.]

[CAVEAT: When pasting multiple pic url's into your thread, "stack" them instead of running them side-by-side, so they will be easier to view.]

If you have difficulty, please don't hesitate to contact me via the forum's Private Message (PM @ the bottom of my posts) service.

Give the new guy a break! He wasn't here last month.I did a search, so I could point out to the NEW GUY where the answer to his question was and came up with page after page of "posting" posts; none of which answered his question.
