I really don't think this needs to go in the political section..... but I'll leave that call to the moderators.

Do you think the gun store owners are disappointed in the election outcome?
If Harris had won the sales for the next couple of months might have actually outpaced back when Obama was elected?

I believe gun store owners ( especially gun store owners) are happy with the outcome of the election. Reasoning is that Harris has openly stated that she has no problem violating the constitution and sending police and military to pick up legally owned firearms. While the initial results of her winning would be a rush on gun stores , they would be eventually forced out if business. ( no gun store owner wants that)

I visited several LGS's yesterday, and I'm about to head back to one within the hour. They were elated with the results. I only talked to one "owner" and at one and another long term employee at another shop. Both were extremely happy with the election, which is pretty much common sense. They both said the "rush" and brief increase of panic buying from a Harris win wouldn't be worth it. When people panic buy and hoard they run out of stock quickly, and so do their distributors, as well as the manufacturers can't keep up with the demand....now throw in supply and demand struggles, jacked up prices, limited availability and empty shelves and business is hurt. A Harris win would have hurt them and us. One of the shops has a HUGE AR selection of both rifles, kits, parts, and accessories. The long time employee at that shop said with a Harris win it would all be gone within a week, and not replenished easily. A Harris win would have killed the majority of their income.

Everyone here, "like minded" gun folks (for the most part) needs to thank God that Harris didn't win....and not just for the regulations and confiscations she campaigned about. Our pockets will be happier as well.

One of the things FFL's have been up against in the last 4 years has been a big push by the ATF revoking licenses for very minor infractions in paperwork. Prior to that,, an ATF agent would usually issue a citation & get the FFL to correct stuff,, or give a warning etc. I know of a few local FFL's who lost their licenses due to this type of harsh "enforcement" of ATF policies. And I was told by a few LEO's of different agencies it "came down straight from the top, including the White House."

Basically they couldn't pass laws against guns,, but went after FFL's.

As such,, business owners who hold a FFL, by far are very relieved by the outcome of the election. Only a fool would wish for a sudden rush on sales for the short term, when, as noted above, supply & demand would actually hurt them more.

If the unthinkable had occurred, and she'd actually won...Many types of firearms, powder, primers and most other reloading components, .22 lr ammo, all the most popular centerfire ammunition 9mm/45 ACP/223-5.56, 12 ga shotshells...Would be pretty much unobtainable by now. And, extremely difficult to come by for the foreseeable future...Not to mention the ridiculous price gouging when it was.
I can't even imagine anyone wanting to go through all that again! 😳
