When I verify dates I'll sell or preferably trade it for a short barrel one of the same vintage and shape

I'm going to post in the collecting section since the auto section seems under utilized

The box or the gun? Is there such a thing as a short barreled box?

The 6 inch guns were announced and started shipping in late 1954 so thats gotta be the starting point and I know they used them well into the 'prefix' numbers, so my guess would be when they came out with the new model boxes in 1973........
