I recognized the pic from "Dances with Wolves, and the two from Quigley immediately. The others, some I knew & a few I didn't.

Veronica Lake was a very petite young lady at 4'11".
So that worked out very well with Alan Ladd at a whopping 5'6".


Yeah, that's Clark in his new Lotus Ford Climax. He won in the following year. 1965.

Ladd must have spent much of his career on boxes or in ditches. He had to do some scenes with Sophia Loren (5'9") standing in a ditch for the "Boy on a Dolphin" film in 1957. Probably a similar situation for Tom Cruise and Sly Stallone. Loved the photos. Nice mix.
