We got a nice P90 in at the shop the other day. I spotted it immediately in the case and I had to handle it. I don't have any P series Rugers and after missing out on a P91 awhile back I jumped on this one. I had to endure many jokes and eye rolls from coworkers but I held firm. As I was punching out, the boss pulled me aside and held it up with two fingers like it was a dirty rag and asked if I was planning on buying it. After I said yes he smiled and said Merry Christmas, just pay for the NICS! Best bonus ever!

I had a KP90 and it was a tack driver. Great trigger, too. Rumors at the time said early models had barrels from a high-end manufacturer (Bar Sto perhaps?), as Ruger hadn't tooled up for them yet. Don't know if there is any truth in those murmerings, but I do know that when a dentist at the range where I ROd (who was a regular competitor at Camp Perry matches and did well there) shot it, he was disgusted when it grouped nearly as well as his much-breathed-on Gold Cup... 🤣
