I agree. Add a light, a laser, and a suppressor, and maybe a tactical sling like the Germans used in WW2 on their Schmeisser sub guns. Using the sling to steady it, grammy could hose down the rats on the pantry.

My Colt M16A1 with either the 22lr using mags or My Colt M16A1 using belt fed 22lr and suppressed, if you like.
OR if you could find one a full auto American 180 22lr drum fed!

I saw an AR 180 in operation at a machine gun shoot once !
It made me want one SOOOO bad ! Way, way cool !

Opportunity and finances have never come together for me that way though.
