Where the debris meets the sea
I hope someone can give me a bit of help...I am using Firefox and have Picassa as my photo editing location. I have always used Picassa to download from my camera to the P/C and as I go along I move the pictures I want to keep to my photos file. then discard the "work" copies...so far so good...(and it's obvious I'm not at all computer sharp)...recently I was moving some things around in Picassa and managed to "hit" something and my computer dumped a copy of the entire photo files onto Picassa...it'a a complete duplicat file of everything I have in the photo's album...now to try and get rid of the "extras"...fortunately I did only one picture to see what happened if I erased it in Picassa and it also erased it in my photo album....not what I waant to do...glad I did a "test"...I fear if I'd try and mark the whole file and try to erase it I'd also lose all the pictures I have stored....just to cover my butt I made a copy on a little thumb drive and it's sitting in a safe place where I can't lose all my pictures..that would be a tragedy.

Any help much appreciated..

I use Picasa a lot also. But I don't use it the same way you do. For me it's only a storage for pictures. I upload pictures from my hard drive to different albums.

But if I understand you, why don't you save all your pictures on a separate hard drive from your computer, then erase all the pictures in the one album. Or just delete the album you're talking about completely and basically start over. Is this your solution or not what you are wanting? Completely unplug your backup drive before deleting the album.
