I get phishing emails for PayPal occasionally. Just got one for $768 for Springfield Armory gun! It had a 1-888- phone number. I forwarded it as Phishing, then deleted the email, then checked my PayPal account to be sure. Had to chuckle wondering what would have happened if I called???

Your email gets a check mark as being an active account and you will be bombarded with scams. As those email lists get moved from scammer to scammer, that active account checkmark goes with it. NEVER reply to, call or click on links !!!

I suggested Venmo or Zell but she says she knows nothing about those systems and doesn't want to know about them.

Venmo... a PayPal company...
