P95 Jamming problems

I have a P95 with about 500 rounds through it, and just recently it has not been reliably ejecting the casings. It will jam atleast once a magazine. I've tried 4 different factory mags so I'm not sure what else it could be, I dont shoot very often and never had this problem before so any help would be great, Thanks!

I would start by cleaning the barrels chamber & barrel really good.
I've seen some ammo, usually Wolf steel cased that can leave laquer in the chamber & cause cases to stick, acetone & a brass brush will get it clean..
I'd also remove the extractor & clean the slot & also check the claw for damage..
Also have a look at the ejector & make sure it's not bent or damaged..
Could also be the ammo your shooting as well, This is often over looked & is the problem alot of times..

Also, try one other simple test... hold the pistol tighter. Even though I can't make my P95 jam by limp wristing... I've heard others say it is easy in theirs... and seeing where you are from... catching 'limp wristing' is pretty easy to do over there...

I had the same issues when I first got mine. Limp-wristing was my problem. Also after 300 rounds I drop a little lube on the rails if I'm shooting a lot at once. Otherwise give it a good cleaning. Ditto on looking at the extractor and it's slot.

I would say limp-wristing. Ive fired close to 500 rounds through my p95 with no problem. My father in-law barley got through 1 magazine without a FTF. Once he tightened up his grip it fired fine.

i have just shot my new p95 yesterday put about 30rds of wwb and 20rds fiochi hollow points, the wwb would not lock the slide back but the fiochi locked back good. i could tell the difference in power from the loads as well. i may have got a bad box at wal mart of wwb so i'll try another box soon if it does it then i'm thru with those.

I had the same problem with mine it had to do with a weak extractor I called Ruger they sent me a shipping label and fixed it for free.

Ditto. Except I payed $25 to have an extractor mailed to me.

Also remember that it doesn't matter how tight you hold the pistol if the web of your hand is not snug up against the tang. My wife had that problem.. we couldn't figure it out... she was getting stovepipes and even failing to strip the next round in the mag... then I finally noticed she was gripping it with about 1/8" of space between the web of her hand and the tang... once she moved her grip up higher, the problem was solved....

I'm new to Rugers but I have read several post in different forums where they say you can bend the extractor about 1mm and this will fix the problem. I know this doesn't sound like the correct way to fix the problem but the tech at Ruger said if you send it to him that is what he will do.
