P90, this doesn't look right.

I noticed this a couple days ago. There appears to be a chip out of the steel, right next to the breechface of my P90. I thought I'd run it past the collective wisdom of the Interwebz, before I called Ruger on it.

Indicative of a problem with the casting?

Mine has it too, so I guess it was designed that way. To be honest, I never even noticed it until I read your post. Good eye!

I'm not sure what notch you are seeing. If it is the indention it the center of the circle, mine is a Stainless DC and has it.

P90 ~ You're correct, my mistake. I see it on my gun now. There's also a stainless P95DC for sale locally that's made the same way.

My P95dc doesn't have that.. but it just looks more normal than a chip to me.
