P345?

I like the black frame, which is what I would of got if I had the money to get it. I've never been a fan of the two tone looks of guns.

Pops ... Although more than 1/2 of my current collection is blued, I like the P345 in stainless.

POPS:

Finish: I like stainless. I do carry my P345, and it's very easy to carry in my Crossbreed Supertuck. One of the most comfortable holsters I've ever owned! Plus I think it's real nice that you get a 10% discount for being an NRA member.

Who use their P345 as a CCW, what holster do you use?
While my P345 is not my EDC, On the occasions that I choose to carry it, it's generally OWB in a Hume JIT Slide.

So Chief, now that you've got some time with the 345, do you love it?

Shall I put it at the top of my list?

Take care amigo!

I came really close to buying this gun a couple of times. I still kinda want one. Both times I was wanting the stainless. All my autos are blued or black. But the more pics I see of the black ones it makes me kinda waver.

You guys are killing me! I want one.

I wonder if they would understand at my girl's college if I asked them to skip a payment so I can get another Ruger.

What do ya'll think; would they buy in?

But, I need another Ruger!!!! :D

Of all Ruger's semi autos I like this one the best. Hey, wait! I own an LCP. Nevermind, I still like the P345. I might even own one some day.

Hell buy one of each. I use mine as an everyday carry along with a LCP, and to answer your other question I use a High Noon split decision when I'm at work or prefer total concealment and I use the Fobus Paddle holster when I open carry or can conceal with a button up shirt or jacket.

Staiunless and a bagmaster 9mm holster. Most comfortable holster I've tried. Sits right behind my hip. It doesn't work well for IDPA tho too soft.

Due to our humid climate in the South, I generally would prefer any gun I carry to be stainless. Sometimes that's not always possible.

My KP345 is my dedicated truck gun. The synthetic/stainless construction and 45 ACP performance make it just about perfect.

It it absolutely one of my favorite guns to shoot. :D

I also like the lines of the ones without rails. 8)

This is my only pic of it.

I have a blued one that I carry all the time in a crossbreed supertuck. Best IWB holster there is. If I had it to do over again, I'd get one in stainless instead. The supertuck has put some nice wear spots on the blued finish, but I don't mind some honest holster wear, especially on a carry gun.

New guy to the forum and I love a wide variety of brands, but I just picked up a blued P 345 recently and I love it. Carrying it in an Uncle Mike's LE holster (size 15).

The Swamp Fox

I have an early P345. Silver colored stainless slide, NO rail under the barrell. If my memory is correct ...all the slides are stainless. Some look SS and some are anodized black. I have not seen any other P345's with out the rail under the barrell. I have put well over a thousand rounds through mine. It has never malfunctioned. My wife shoots it and likes the way it shoots. I have used it for ccw qualifying several times. My wife prefers my Smith Model 19 when she qualifies. Very little recoil and easily manageable. I have never shot a P90, BUT REALLY would like to.

I was under the impression, somewhat verified by checking Ruger's website, that the blued version's slide is alloy steel and the stainless is (naturally) stainless steel. I don't believe it is darkened stainless on the blued gun.

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you have had any problems with the mag release button. Mine is very tight and even when I depress it I have to pull the mag out. I have a total of 6 mags so I know the problem is not with the mag.

Thanks

I should also have added that my wife has a P95 with the exact same problem (feature?). In addition we both experince about 1 Jam per 100 rounds.

Thanks

fdm-The mags on my P345 and P95 drop out when I press and hold the release button.

Both my P series pistols have the SS slide. I carry IWB and sweat like a galley slave. No rust problems yet.
