Haven't heard much about this fine pistol of a few years ago. Bought mine when they first came out and to this day is my'' night srand go to'' pistol and I'm a 1911 guy. Fine pistol!

I had one years ago and it was a solid pistol.....When the Ruger 1911's came out I made the switch....
Like soooo many others....I have a problem with 1911's..... ( I have too many of them and I can't stop buying )

I would have dropped it like a loose turd for the upside down safety alone!!!
It's got the same stupid safety as the Beretta!!! The Beretta is stupid accurate and reliable but I can't dignify the upside down backwards safety.
That's why I love my 92 - it's a Taurus, with a frame-mounted safety like a 1911.
(Although I like Berettas also, for different reasons! ;^)

After carrying a 1911 for four years, did not handle another firearm for 25 years. I was looking for a handgun, but the 1911 was too heavy, wide and unwieldy for me, so after reading about Ruger's P345, I checked one out at my LGS and confirmed that it was lighter, narrower and fit comfortably in my hand. I took it out and it was great. I even took my wife out and she got down right giddy after shooting a magazine's worth of ammo. We both liked it. This was in 2006. This gun was a tank and I knew it would hold up, not only during my lifetime, but for my son as well. It was reliable, durable and accurate. I wish I could have gotten a second one at the time.
