Thinking about getting one of these as a knock around pistol while I'm out in the field in Alaska this year. Would take my Kimber Ultra compact again but thinking a DA would be better up there as a back up to my 454 casull. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance.. :D

I have a cousin who owns one and I enjoyed shooting it so much, I seriously thought about buying one about 6 months ago. But, I finally decided to go the route of Colt 1911 for my .45 needs.

But if you want the DA - I would say you will be pleased with it based on my limited experience with the P345, and how much my cousin likes his.

If you like the looks and feel of the P345 then you can't go wrong with one, I bought one last year and it is one of the most accurate and pleasant to shoot 45 pistols that i own, it is also completely reliable.
