I just puchased a stainless P-89 in just like new condition for under $300 complete with the case with two factory magazines still with the warning stickers on the mags totally unmarred. I had my local gunsmith take a look and he doubts it has fired little if at all. Since this is a discontinued firearm I was wondering what spare parts I should aquire for insurance. I checked Numrich and they seem to have a good supply of parts. By the way, when it comes to handguns, i have always tended towards revolvers, but getting a little older, I wanted a 9mm auto since it might be easier on an arthritic wrist. Which it is by the way. I've taken it to the range and am quite happy with my purchase. It is a good companion to my Mini 14 581.

Welcome to the Forum!
I saw your post yesterday, replied to it, & due to current maintenance to this site, it wouldn't accept my post.
Anyway, You got a great gun, and it's built like a tank. I doubt you'd need any parts. However, if it does get to where it does, I bet we can beat Numrich prices here. I have a bunch of new parts from an armorer's kit I bought years ago. If you decide you just want some parts, just PM me & we can discuss it.

Other than maybe a recoil spring and guide rod, I don't think you'll be needing any spare parts.
I bought a complete parts kit w/o the numbered frame years ago as a put away parts supply. I'm thinking I should order a couple of new Wolfe recoil springs just in case. With the price of Ruger semiautos, I can own a couple of extras to rob for parts if the need arises. I haven't researched the possibilities but have been thinking a 40 cal parts kit would give me more options later on.
