Out of the past............

Yesterday morning I was sitting in my seat a few minutes before church service would start when a very attractive young lady stood next to my seat and spoke to me. I stood and she hugged me and I finally had to ask who she was. She was a recipient of the Silver Eagle many, many years ago. Her family had moved to Florida some years ago, and a little girl had grown into a young woman. Looking back at my records she had earned her award in 2013 at age seven. She is now enrolled in college.

One of my great rewards is seeing young people come to me after all these years and thank me for that award. I am a man most richly blessed!

I have had young boys in my BSA Troop grow up,, and yet,, come back later to thank me for helping them along. It truly is a great feeling.
