Opinions, please.

I figure one thing this forum has is opinions, so I'll just ask for some.

I have a number of nice Ruger revolvers, and I'm thinking (only thinking, at this point) about parting with a couple to fund some other gun projects I have in mind. That said, I have a 7.5" Bisley .44 Mag, 98% condition. Bought new in the early 90's, might have 100 rounds through it but I doubt it. I also have a nice old 3-screw SBH, 95% or better. The SBH has a Buehler scope base and rings mounted (top strap drilled and tapped), with a 2X Leupold scope. Mounting the scope on the SBH didn't help its collector value, but set up like it is, it's the real deal. It doesn't get any better than Buehler and Leupold if you're gonna scope a SBH.

So IF I decide to sell these, I would give the forum members first shot at them before Gunbroker ever saw an ad. Now, what are they worth? I'm thinking maybe $475 for the Bisley, and $650 for the SBH with scope. Anybody want to share any ideas on the subject? I'm open to suggestion...

I've never sold a gun that I didn't later regret. (Well...except for that Colt SAA the factory screwed up over and over and again...)

I also will second the thoughts of resident.
Ruger revolvers seem to be the last good value for the dollar.
Look were some of the discontinued sp101s prices have gone (22lr,9mm)
Look at the availability of ruger 32 H&Rs single action and Double?
I have been looking for a short barreled 44 mag bisley Vaquero that will not brake the bank?
Like resident said, Hope this helps, Oh and you are in the ballpark for your prices, If the Owner of the shop I work in part time put them in the case and they are clean that would be tax icluded OTD
your scoped SBH would sit till hunting season and then probably sell quick

Well, I gave up selling my Rugers due to always getting a case of "seller remorse" afterwards. I hate that feeling.

That said,, I think your price for the Bisley 44 mag is very fair,, or even a little low. I would think a price of $550 is more in line with value.
The OM SBH due to it being drilled & tapped is most likely a little high. A SBH shooter grade OM D&T, would only bring around $350-$375. Then add the scope & mounts,, at about $150 or so,, puts it at about the $525 mark. Yes,, I know you probably have more than that in the gun,, but we are talking real world pricing. Buying used,, modified firearms can drive the sale prices down.

The Bisley is priced above wholesale but may sell at that price in time if it includes shipping.

Is the Super converted?

I've sold numerous guns without remorse.
Just a machine.....yes, even the no-longer-my 5.5" 357 and 41 Mag and 45 Colt Redhawks.
And my custom Glock M20.
And that Fred Craig-built 38 Super Caspian.
And a few Security Sixes.

And I still have one custom 1911 on the block.
