opinions please

I'm going to do what I like, but I wanted to get some opinions...

I have a 5 1/2 inch ROA blued. I have a stainless gripframe. I am going to buy a conversion cylinder. question is... should I stick with blued, or get the stainless and use the stainless gripframe... I'm leaning towards the stainless with some blackish wood.

Well BL ,
I have a 7 1/2" SBH but I hate the dragoon style grip frame .My plan is to get a stainless hunter grip frame, color case harden the frame and loading gate and reblue the bbl and cylender .
I have a gorgeous set of buffalo horn grips for the gun, so I'll end up with this tri color effect.
Uberti did a few cowboy action special comertive ssa's a few years back like this and they were beautiful guns so I say go for it , but that's just my opinion, but the m partial to that look .

Hmmmmm...........

Blue cylinder frame, barrel, ejector rod housing. Bright stainless grip frame and cylinder.

Does this conversion include an ejector rod assembly? If not, substitute a Super Blackhawk cylinder frame in blue, or better yet, case hardened by Doug Turnbull. And definitely ebony grips.

No Bob, blued bbl, cylinder and ERH, color cased frame and loading gate, polished Stainless Steel round trigger guard grip frame and the buffalo horn grips .
Add to that I'm going to mill off the front sight level with it's base, dovetail the base install a Marble type brass bead front sight and replace the rear blade with a v nouch blade from a Mk II pistol .
Than I'll have a good looking 50 yard tack driver .

My eye would like the stainless grip frame, with everthing else blue. Like on an old brass frame gun, everything blue but the grip frame.

Everyone here has an opinion as to what looks good and what doesn't. My suggestion is to 'do your thing'.

Well like I said those Uberti tri color guns were gorgeous guns. I had been planning to do this for a long time and just had the vision in my minds eye of how it would look , and then I saw one of those Uberti Cowboy action cooperative specials and I knew that was exactly what I wanted .
Picture this gun , but with a polished Stainless grip frame .

Now picture this gun with the blued bbl and cylinder, color cased frame and loading gate and polished Stainless Hunter grip frame and these Buffalo horn grips that are on it and you'll see it will be one sweet looking SBH,




I really think it will be very nice looking and most likely one if a kind SHB's , and I love one of's .

Why bother with opinions of others if you're going to do what you want to do?

Why be so negitve and ask questions designed to provoke someone.
I don't see a thing wrong with asking others opinions on something your planing to do.
If it bothers you that much just move on and don't respond ,or waste your time typing a smart assed responce that only serves to make you look like an ass.
Either give your opinion or say nothing .
