Oops!

The first thing to say is - Oh you remember, I've had these like forever.... Next say - I got a bargain on each and every one of them and they're worth a lot more now. Next whatever you do, don't let her see your stash of ammo or let her find that envelope of $100 bills in your safe that you are saving for your next "bargain" that comes along..

No, no, no don't tell her that's your inventory sheet. Tell her that that's a "wish list" of guns you'd like to buy one day when you hit the lotto.

Are you part of the NSA? 'Cause it sounds like you bugged my house!

I sincerely hope that these are all tongue-in-cheek responses, as everyone of you have suggested that lying is the natural response to a wife's inquiry. TD

TD,,, Yes,,, these folks enjoy poking fun at something like this.
However,, unfortunately,,, some wives do not know,,, or even care about guns, and see them as a wasteful purchase. Or, even worse, they dislike guns & their hubby's hobby.
Yet, these same ladies think nothing about their own pet purchases.

Humor is often formed from truths!

I surprised my self several years ago when I sat down & did an inventory of my own collection. I too was a bit surprised at my accumulation of firearms.

Wouldn't work. As I said, she's shot most of them. She didn't realize how many I actually had.

It wasn't the cost, since she knows I don't buy unless it's a very good deal. It was the sheer number of firearms.

My wife found my inventory sheet of the firearms we own tonight. Her eyes bugged out.

That's funny, when my husband spent $550 on a Ruger Commander I never said a word. In fact I was quite supportive and gave him the old carpet that was in the attic for his new home in the tool shed.

Now that's funny right there, I don' care who you are. :D

My wife and I have an understanding. I don't question her need for multiple pair of black shoes and she doesn't question my gun deals. Works well for us. Of course, I just had to take $300 out of gun stash to buy her a purse that she just had to have .

Twice my wife looked around the gun, reloading room, and saidput those guns in the safe. Twice I had to buy a new safe.
