I bought one of the M1937s back in the '80s when they brought them back from Brazil and they were going for about $150. Was intending to turn it into a giant stubby but it just shot too well. The stupid ugly thing actually shoots better than either of my M25-2s, despite their target sights, heavier barrels, and much better triggers! One thing I've learned, when you get a gun that shoots this well, you don't mess with it. Looks like yours shoots even better--congrats!
Here's my reimport. And, it is also a shooter. Without any work, it has the best trigger of any of my handguns, including one high dollar custom 1911. Go figure.
Boy, those are great lookin' old Smiths, and they shoot as good as they look. That's just icing on the cake! Sure wish I could find one as nice.
