One for Revhigh

Interesting! I've been waiting for a plastic framed 1911.

I'd prefer it in Commander length. I have an alloy-framed full-size 1911 and with the full-size heavy slide, it kicks notably more than any other 1911 I've ever shot (and more than alloy-framed Commanders).

They apparently showed protos at SHOT 2012 and some have been handled and shot, google it. The grip frame is thicker than spec for more strength. It has a steel insert with the rails etc.

Go well with my RRA AR

I too think highly of my RRA AR--a midlength, no less!

Weight 2.04 POUNDS?

Boy howdy, THERE is a solution looking for a problem to solve.
I have a Kimber with Pikatinney rail, all steel, that is only 6.4oz heavier.

They used to make some of the finest and cleanest looking 1911's known to man. Then they stopped and concentrated on AR's a few years ago.

While I always lusted after their 1911's ... I'll pass on a plastic one of any brand or quality. I'm simply not interested.

Thanks for the link the AIA !
