Did Ruger make an OM 9mm/357 convertible?

yes, they did, both in a "pre" prefix gun, the late 67-68?? and then in the #30 (1969) and #31 prefix guns, and from what I recall the 'late' Bob C. telling me the majority were in the #31 prefix,or the "late" old model versions....how many??? have no clue ,hopefully Chet15 will chip in with some "numbers" ( quantities)???
Yep, Bob's List shows quite a few, as non-prefix as well as 30- and 31-prefix guns.

As noted, the non-prefix guns are a bit more scarce. I managed to stumble upon one a few years ago that lettered,,,!

Yes, the non-prefix .357 convertibles are quite rare. For those reported, the 6-1/2" outnumbers the 4-5/8" by 3 to 1. I can't imagine more than 500 BKH-34X being produced.
For guns with 30- prefix, the convertibles are still pretty scarce, but they seem to have been produced in quantity during certain eras. For example it seems that about 99% of the 1,500 D30- prefix guns from D30-97400 to D30-98910 were convertibles.

A quick review of Bob's List reveals the following (numbers rounded off) . . .
Non-prefix guns: of 2300 listed, 2% are converts.
30-prefix guns: of 500 listed, 14% are converts.
31-prefix guns: of 300 listed, 20% are converts.
Remember that these are totally amateur numbers, based on info gleaned by Bob and me over the years from many sources. We do not necessarily guarantee that any individual gun is "right" but the overall picture affords a pretty good idea of what's going on. You will note that the totals are a tiny percentage of the total production. That said, I still feel that the percentages of converts is likely representative.
I'll go with Chet15's analysis any time, of course. The List pretty much agrees with his commentary regarding the D30-prefix percentages.
