OM 41 Blackhawk

I know this is reaching since gun prices all depend on condition, condition and condition. I have been looking for an old Model 41 and have been offered one for sale. I haven't seen any pics of the gun yet and don't know what all is included. The owner says "very good condition with the short 4 5/8" barrel". It seems that there isn't a lot of 41 Magnums floating around for sale. Would anyone venture an educated guess of what the cost of one of these is going for. I know that there will always be someone who walked into the local pawnshop or estate sale who go theirs for $100, but is there a current Blue Book Value to these? I don't know yet if he has the box, etc,etc.

Gun in that condition in my area would be around $600. the shorter barrel brings a little more. Hope this helps.

That is right what he was asking. I'm not sure where he's located yet but after Shipping & insurance, FFL fees and Wa State now forcing FFL transfer Dealers to collect sales tax on the gun price + shipping + insurance cost for them this puts the price closer to $740.

Probably 600-700 retail for such a gun. The 4-5/8'' barrel old model 41 Magnums do command a higher price than the 6-1/2'' guns.

And they are not easy to find, at least in a local retail setting. I do see them more often on Rugerforum or on the auction sites.

At $740,, I'd have to say it's a bit high.
I'm sure you could put a "WTB" ad in the classifieds around here & get a very good condition shooter in the short bbl for a bit less.

Sold a very nice ,40 prefix last gun show and got $600 for it, and my dealer has another one, at about the sma eprice, so seems thats the number for around here, sold one last year ,in the box, NO prefix and got $850 for it ( these are ALL the short barrel versions..........)

here is a pic and it is unconverted. If I can catch him this morning it turns out he will be traveling through my area on his way to california for a month and it would be the flat $600. I emailed him but don't know when he planned to leave this morning.

Just talked to him on the phone and it turns out his route to california won't be through my area so I will have to wait until he gets back to check it out. My search continues. Turns out he has 3 OM 45's also but wasn't inclined at this time to sell one of those at this time. I would rather have one of the 45's. :lol:
