OM 22 Single Six help please .....

Local guy felt the need to disassemble his OM Single Six.

Got it back together and the hammer would not budge.

Took it apart again for a do-over and now the hammer will not fully seat on the firing pin.

Any ideas what I can tell him?

Except the obvious of course that if it ain't broke ...... :lol:

Likely someone has the mainspring strut in backwards or not fully seated in the hammer. It happens! There are not too many ways one can screw up the reassembly. The pawl spring and plunger could be a factor but I believe the hammer strut is the problem.

I agree with Kevin.

The plunger & spring for the pawl must go in the hole plunger first.
