I picked up a old vaquero awhile ago and it came with a 45acp extra cylinder. My question is would it only be for this gun or is it something that would be able to be used by someone else on theirs I ask because I have no use for it I reload only for the 45 colt from mild to wild and dont want another caliber project. Also if it can be used on a different gun how much are they worth because I would really like to get a simply rugger holster and maybe this would take up a big enough chunk of the price momma would let me order it before Xmas.

Measure the over all length and post a for sale in the for sale section. If it is blued I have seen them go for anywhere from $70 to $100. I don't recall what the stainless versions are going for. The Vaquero never came in 45 acp so some one fit a cylinder to your gun. There will be others that it will probably be close enough too that it can be fit to them.

There was a limited run of dual cylinder Vaqueros made by Ruger. The simplest thing to do is call Ruger with your serial number and they'll tell you over the phone if your gun left the factory that way or not. Stainless .45acp cylinders run up to $150 each.

Never knew they made any dual cylinder vaqueros in 45. Absolutes in the gun world a far between.
good 'sale' item or use it as "trade fodder",always folks LOOKING for that 'spare' cylinder, and the price range listed above is right on.......

Davidsons had a special run of .45 convertible Vaqueros. I saw one in stainless. It was in a plastic box marked Special Edition. If I remember correctly, I think the box was black.
