Pay attention !!! That is a Ruger Original BRASS Grip frame. Actually appears to be quite a nice one. Not seeing very much porosity in the usual places. I definitely see a R-3DB. Look hard and give us a close-up of the circle

Real smart move by G2. I would have taken it if he hadn't. It is an original like stated in reply. The aftermarket ones were usually made by Qualite and they used to be sold by Brownell's. Qualite had them for new models as well. They usually had more of a bronze tone than a brass tone.

I certainly didn't see the MR-3DB. Looks like G2 got a great deal on the frame. PM sent to G2.
Have no fear, and don't look back , we sold them over the years for all kinds of prices heck we bought them for the shop back in the 70s for $7.50 and then they had a lot of issues with "porosity" in the castings,,the best ones went on their guns , the factory shipped out....one can only imagine how many they scrapped out back then...:unsure::rolleyes:
