I have just gotten a 1957 Old Model Single Six, Ser. # 60XXX. In decent condition, Long Rifle Cylinder only. Varnished Grips. 5 1/2". The Base Pin appears to be too long, about 3/16"- 1/4". It is not a New Model Base pin. What is the correct Base Pin length? Thanks for your help.

the ones we have around here are right at 3 inches overall, a couple maybe a 1/16" longer..........

Thanks for your suggestion rugerguy! When I got the Single Six, I had also gotten a 1968 Ruger Blackhawk, with the box, both at the same shop. Sure enough, I compared the Base Pins, and they had been swapped by someone at sometime in the past. Switched them and now all is well. Thanks again.
Checked three of my OM SS and all were 3 1/6".
