Does anyone know approximately how many brass non-Ruger Old Model gripframes were produced and in what gripframe shape(s) were they produced?
Robb Barnes said:No idea of how many but I know of at least 4 different configurations that I have owned over the last 3-4 years. These were the square backed SBH style, regular blackhawk style, birdshead and thunderer. I know they wre produced by Qualite, BNR, SG, Caravelle and I believe one company out of Florida but I have heard nothing good about the last company nor it's products.
BRASS FRAME said:Are you aware of the "Gold" and "Brass" colored XR3 and XR#-RED frames for Old Models. They are Aluminum and some people say they were intended as samples from a supplier who offered to make these for Ruger. I have samples of both frame styles. Brass Frame/Lee
