Cimarron Model P (old model) Knowledge--UPDATE: Got IT

Well, Taylor's has one with the Thunderer grip as well. They erroneously call it "flat-top".

Many aren't aware that Rugervolk reserve that expression for any single-action revolver that does not have an adjustable rear sight. We must be patient with them pending their further experience. ;)

Well, there was the Colt SAA Flat-top Target which Uberti also produces a replica of, so it makes no sense whatsoever.

OLD thread
Ive figured out I like Cimarrons SA's the best. I have a couple non-safety gizmo, 4 clickers . They have the smoothest actions right out of the box. Also have a old AWA 4 click . My Taylor was a safety bar gizmo that I converter with new hammer, trigger and gunslinger spring kit.

The "Swiss safety" (or SS) is on a few of my single actions including Uberti's and an Interarms Virginian Dragoon in .45 Colt. If I remember correctly the SS was invented to comply with some import restrictions of a few countries and overall it's a feel good device that can (in the case of my Interarms) lock up the action tight as a drum.

It's not needed to use and it's hard to inadvertently engage so I ignore that it's there.

Yup. Absolutely true. It's hard enough trying to keep all the Ruger nomenclature accurate without complications from those Colt guys and others. :ROFLMAO:

Particularly since the Colt version is actually a flat-top frame with tap-to-adjust-for-windage rear sight in a dovetail. ;)
