Was there ever a time when Ruger designated a convertable box? Example; is there an old model box that has a catalog number as BKH-34X? (this question is to include 45s and 22 convertables). Thanks for the education.

Heres an older Single-Six convertible with a white paste
over label for RSS4X. There were a few box's in the 42XXXX
range that were printed RSS4X.

OPPS my answer was way too simple.......appears only a few RELABELED boxes have the elusive X.....which I do have a few of.....that's what makes this hobby so "FUN"........see ya RR.

Thanks. But the "x" was only on the box of the 22s? How about the big guns? 357s and 45s? Does anyone have an example of that?

I believe some of the convertible blackhawks that had a two-piece box with large label covering the end also were marked BKH-34X or BKH-36X. But these are rare. Ruger didn't run out of the standard BKH-34 or BKH-36 printed box very often.
Anybody got a lettered -34X or -36X with a sticker box?
