OK - What are these ( Sid Bell - Ruger button / conchos)

OK; I saw these on line for a can't refuse price. They were listed as Grip Medallions but at 1" in diameter so I don't think so. Relatively thin. Maybe for a bolo slide or concho's of some kind.

Listed as Brass / Black but I had not heard of Sid bell working in brass. Silver, Gold and Pewter yes so I expected them to actually be tarnished silver. The definitely appear to be yellow metal of some kind, I do not thing gold as there are no fineness markings, I suspect maybe yellow bronze but then Sid Bell did not mark a lot of his silver pieces as sterling so ??? I did see that Bronze was listed as one of his materials.

Any ideas as to value? ( If I am allowed to ask ) I will hang on to them them for a while to will try to find out more about them then decide what to do with them.

At 1" in diameter,, I'd say they were a type of Conchos.

Well; I tried some white vinegar on the edge and it didn't discolor and rubbed the edge on some unglazed ceramic and it left a gold colored streak where bronze would, I think, streak black. Not definitive but they may actually be gold. I think I'll stop be a jewelers and ask if they can test it.

No such luck. Checked at the Jeweler and they test as brass ( yellow Bronze ) but that's no matter. Still neat items and they have the proper ( SR ) logo. I am listing these in the classified's section if anyone is interested.
