....the adjustable rear sight on the ruger gp100 .357 magnum. Can someone explain how it should be set up?

Thank u....I read this already. But I'm still about 3 " low. Don't want to start messing with it.
 
Is the front site factory ? I put a fiber optic on mine. Must 've been a little higher , had to readjust the elevation. But still had plenty of adjustment left. As some one else posted bullet weight will affect the elevation as well as specific powder loads. ( if u'r reloaden ) Perhaps try a factory 158 gr load , see where it prints. I believe the sights typically leave the factory set up for 158 gr loads. Or it is possable ... someone put the wrong front sight on it ... :roll: I'm not sure what height front sight shud be on it , perhaps the manual would say in the parts diagram. Good luck

Cube, are you saying you are 3" low after you have used up all the height adjustment? 3" low at what distance?
