Folks,,, I don't ask lightly or often,, but I'm asking now.
My family needs prayers.
My son's wife & in-laws.
See,,, My son't FIL had prostate cancer a while back,,, just recovered early this year. Then,, his wife,,, my son's MIL was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast cancer,,, and has been undergoing treatment. She's doing very well with her treatment & all. All this was going on,, while my son't wife,, my DIL,,, was getting treatment for Lyme Disease.
Well, the Lyme disease has been mostly under control for a few months now,, and just this week,,,, now my DIL has been diagnosed with Metastatic Breast cancer as well. It's rare for a mother & daughter to have it at the same time.
Luckily,, we do have an excellent treatment center here,,, the same one Miss Penny used so many years ago.
Yesterday,,, my son & I took a day trip together,,, just to be two men,, talking & all. He just needed his Dad to listen to him, and to know I'll be there for him. His mother & I divorced when he was young,, and she did a lot to me,, trying to drive a wedge between us,,, and keep me away from him. It didn't work,, and my son & I have been enjoying a very good,,, deep relationship for a long time. I'd go through her crap 10 times over just to have a day like we had yesterday. I'm so lucky to have a great son who is smart enough to see things as they were.
But now,, he has to be the strong man in the family,,, and he just wanted me to know he may need his Dad to be there.
So,, I politely ask,,, prayers for my extended in-law family. All are very good people.
