I just purchased a Redhawk 4" and am looking for a holster. I've read through every thread on Redhawk holsters that i could find and many recommend brands such as SimplyRugged. Does anyone use and recommend a synthetic material holster? I ask because I hunt in very wet weather and leather tends to take a huge beating. Thanks. [/u]

Uncle Mike's makes very good synthetic holsters. I have a whole lot of 'em. They are what I hunt with most of the time.

That Simply Rugged will hold up to the wet conditions better than you think, especially with a bit of waterproofing. There are several products available to do this.

I have two Simply Rugged holsters, one for my Alaskan and one for my Smith 629 Mountain Gun and I'm not sure you can do any better for the price.

Dave @ Quiethide Holsters uses a synthetic fabric for his holsters which when used is much quieter than the Uncle Mike's. Almost silent. He can also make them from leather. Custom made to your gun with or without optics from a tracing you send him. Great guy and excellent quality product.
