I was just in a gun store and saw / handled a new in the box Stainless Single Ten, Serial Number 810-00145.... All of the articials I thought I read said that the serial numbers of this new series of gun started at 810-00500 and up?

It is my understanding that when Ruger makes the serial #'d guns under 500 the guns that do not go to subscription holder or in the factory vault they then are sent to the wholesalers to be sold to the public. Great program! J/S

And for anybody wondering where their early numbered Single-Nine's are, I hope the factory didn't goof again!!! Three weeks ago I saw #815-00026 sitting on a big dealer's table!! Hawkeye28 and the rest of you who have a shared interest take note!!
Mike Womble, this info would be of interest to you as well.

Has anyone received subscription Single Nines yet?

I talked to the Factory earlier this week & I was assured that there will no Subscription Guns shipped until the first to second quarter next year. They are @ 100%+ capacity until then.

Oh, 100% capacity? They must mean shipping capacity because those Single-Nine's are already built!! And I'm wondering about the other six models they haven't shipped either.
Or maybe they're just setting those guns aside in their 100% full capacity shipping dept. until they get time to build more quantity of other models that are selling?
Ruger.....since you've already built them, why not ship them? THOSE LOW NUMBERS ARE ALREADY SOLD!!!
Makes us "subscribers" pretty insignificant!! Especially since the remaining "subscribers" remain some of the most loyal customers Ruger has ever had.

my guess is they are MORE "concerned" with the other millions of "happy, loyal" Ruger buyers wanting some the best , and the 'latest' also to hit the store, shelves and gun shows... 8)
its NICE and "fun" to be able to once in a while "find" a 'sleeper' on someones table or gun case..................... FOR SALE..

Interesting ...... and yet some of us, now 18 months since its introduction, have had a grand total of TWO SR1911's hit the local shelves. Folks in my area are way way over the SR1911 ~ especially when there's a bunch of new Remington 1911's sitting on the stores shelves.
