It's highly unlikely that differing number of holes in the cylinder will work PROPERLY. The hand has to advance the cylinder to the correct position for the bolt to engage at the same time the hammer reaches full cock position. :unsure:
You may have missed the first page of this post. It's not only likely but owner and even gunsmith confirmed in this case, as working PROPERLY.
It's about manufacturing tolerances in revolvers, not Swiss watches.
