We we fishing and a bear started working toward us but on the opposite side. As instructed we gave the bear a wide berth and backed away from the stream/river to a nearby gravel road. . However this bear, one about the same size as the video (young) decide to cross to our side , came galloping down the road directly toward us. It was not a charge. When it saw us it skidded to a stop, about 5 feet away, reversed direction and fled. We did everything right yet still had a close encounter. Thrilling to say the least. When you go to the "wilderness" there are worthwhile risks IMO
