I have a chance to buy This single six, about 85% overall condition, Kind of a ugly duckling as a project gun. some blueing loss on the muzzle and on the frame. No box or paperwork. one .22 lr cylinder.Out the door price $285.00. Action is good and tight, fairly good trigger for a new model. Opinions ???

Thanks.

I'm thinking the price is in the ballpark for its condition. This is the first 9 1/2" single six I have seen in my area in years.

It would be pretty easy to get back into really nice shape. I'm looking to rescue this gun, and would be a great project. I wish it had the mag cylinder even tho I wouldn't use it much.

Oh well, I'm still thinking it over. It would be fun to shoot.

Sax.45.... can't tell you about price. As to value, an old silhouette partner of mine, retired Border Patrolman Major Golden of Tombstone, has, off his hind legs, won at the highest level against the rimfire silhouettes with his 9-1/2" Single Six.

Case rested,

Ya, I'll have to do it that way. Being on a fixed income isn't any fun at all.
