New Variation...an OM this time!

One of my RENE subscribers just sent a pic of a BKH-36 sn 130771 with an eagle logo barrel. It is the identical rollmark used on the Super Blackhawk (A Ruger OOPS. ).
Interesting as this one is, it also opens up a little can of worms. First of all, would be tough to believe that this is the only one like it. Would seem there should be more...6-1/2" and there could even be some 4-5/8" right around this gun in the 129xxx to 131xxx range.

That's not the only can of worms though. Seems Ruger was also shipping limited quantities of the rare non-prefix BKH34X and BKH36X at this time!

Oop. Hold it. Now that I think about it the eagle logo barrel address with INC didn't appear on the Super Blackhawk until the 80- prefix guns.
Anybody know if an eagle logo appeared on the earliest NM .357 barrel addresses? If so, looks like 130771 might be a rebarrel afterall.

Not sure yet.
Anybody got an early NM .357 that can give some input on what the barrel address looks like? Those also have an eagle logo barrel don't they?
I don't think that eagle barrel logo with the INC in it came into use on the Super Blackhawk until later in the prefix guns (started on the S47 by at least 80-06034) which would make the "NON-PREFIX" .357 with such a rollmark a big question mark of some sort...maybe not factory?

I finally had a chance to check earlier today, I looked at BN36 #30 and BN36X #32 and both have the eagle logo rollmark.

Well, that probably settles it then. BKH-36 #130771 has probably been re-barreled...sometime after the NM came out anyway. All OM .357's are with normal address without the eagle logo.
And makes sense....because there wasn't room for the eagle logo on the NM .357 frame rollmark, so Ruger had to rollmark their barrels with the logo.
Got kinda excited over nothin'.

So . . . has anyone "lettered" this gun to see if it was originally shipped as a BKH-34 or a BKH-36 . . . or a convertible?
