New Vaquero

Hey guys just picked up a New Vaq model (05117) (NVB-455-I) . This gun is blued 5 1/2" with the sim ivory grips and was just wondering if this was a distributor gun since it came in a black ruger case. Im going to shoot this thing and see how I like it compared to the blackhawk...

I don't think the case color really tells anything for sure by itself. They end up with leftovers of a color run and use them up.

The NVB-455-I was a special run by Davidson's. Many came in the black case marked "Special Edition" in gold.

There was more than one version of these guns, with different markings.
