New TV program looks promising

History Channel ran an add today about a Historical program coming up on Memorial Day.
"Texas Rising" will be about The Alamo and the later battles with Mexico including the "Battle of San Jacinto." Don't know if its a solo or a series.

That period in Texas History is extremely interesting. I hope they do a good job.

"History Channel" ??? It depends on IF they had some one ABLE to tell the truth or some liberal retard that makes up
"FACTS" to suit his particular Bias or the lies he was taught in school.
I DO HOPE it is an ACCURATE presentation of Texas history.

I caught parts of a program I think is called "The rise and fall of Nazi Germany," on the History Channel. Excellent, excellent program. Lots of home movies, exerpts from letters and diaries, very little of the stock newsreel footage we've all seen a hundred times. It's something that should be shown in high school history classes, with properly-led discussions about the dangers of a cult of personality.

What I've never seen on any of these programs about Nazi Germany and the evils they created is how many regular citizens went along with it.... and why and how that could happen.... it took between 6 & 7,000 people to run just one concentration camp.

Yes, it will be interesting to watch the rise of Texas program... Sam Houston has to be one of the most interesting men in our Countries history.

Was at San Jacinto about a year ago. They kicked Santa Anna's butt in about 20 minutes. Houston was true leader. Here is the plaque showing where he was wounded.

I wouldn't count on the History Channel giving the true facts. They certainly didn't do that with the show..."Sons of Liberty". They played pretty fast and loose with the facts in that one.
