You should be very happy with it and it will last you a good long time.
The GP and the SP definitely sing the song "We are family". ;)
If you have children, get one interested in the GP. It will likely be handed down to them at some point if you keep it.

The GP is one of my very favorite guns and it just keeps getting better and better. It's been said that you can't kill them and I believe it's pretty close to that. When I got mine I dry fired it (with snap caps) a few hundred times a day for a few weeks. Between that and the years of regular shooting, the trigger is exceptionally smooth.
