New to me .44 Mag Redhawk obrservations and question

Hi all, last September/October I bought a NIB SS 1981 vintage 7 1/2" Redhawk in .44Mag, only had it out to shoot twice before I blew my left knee out and ended my shooting season, I am rather happy with it's accuracy with my loads using the Lyman 250gr 429421 at (clocked about that in my 50th anniversary 7 1/2" flattop) 1,400 fps using H-110 powder. Anyhoo, was fondling the beast tonight and just realized the cylinder flutes are between the cylinder charge holes, I had noticed the bolt slots were offset but missed the flute thing, no wonder these things are strong. The question I have is about the whole blowing the barrel off thing, something about the wrong lock tight and barrel torque procedure? Any info out there about this and what number range might be affected? I'm not up to speed on these rascals and any info would be appreciated!

A bit of an update, the search function came back on line and I did a search on the Redhawk and found zilch about a barrel problem, methinks I got some bad info and apologize for any tweaked feathers.

Yes, I believe you have picked up some bad info somewhere. Your 1981 Redhawk is a bull strong, trouble-free revolver and should serve you and your heirs for a very long time.

It happened.
No idea what the serial or year range was, but I believe it was later than 1981.
And flutes are always between chambers, on any brand.

I believe my Redhawk that had the barrel separate was the first one. Yes, it was finally discovered that the thread lubricant was the culprit. If left on to dry, (say over several days,) it changed the torque values.
VERY few had this issue.
Shoot yours & enjoy it. I'd have to dig out my info, but I believe mine was built in around 1984-1985.

Why yes, yes they are, I cannot believe I actually typed that! My only defense for such a brain dead statement is that the offset bolt slots made the cylinder look a bit odd and a healthy dose of cold medicine, ya know the ones that say don't drive and operate on a web site whilst taking this. At least I have enough sense to stay away from the loading bench in that condition.
