New Thread Protector for Ruger Scout

I have had my "bird cage" flash suppressor off for several months now. I found this thread protector on another forum (Scout Rifle Forum) where a member there was sharing it. I recently ordered one for myself and it arrived this week.

These guys are top notch.

I bought an EGW thread protector from Midway for my GS Scout in .223. It's threaded 1/2-28 like most AR15 and fits fine. However, after I got it I decided to leave the flash suppressor installed to keep "the look" even if the extra length accomplishes very little.

I hear you. I still have my flash suppressor and can reinstall if I decide to but I am currently satisfied going without at this time. Shot the rifle today and these Scouts are just plain cool.

I'm glad you posted a pic, the one on the website is not nearly so attractive. Looks like it belongs on a squirt gun
