Don't know how many National Hockey League fans we have out there, but ..... how 'bout them KINGS ! Stanley Cup Champs twice in 3 years. It was a much tougher run than when they won the "Cup" in 2012, this year having to beat 3 very strong teams in the playoffs to make it to the finals, to meet and beat a strong NY Rangers team in 5 (best out of seven) games. Congratulations !

watching the game i must admit....it was real hockey. kings seemed more aggresive. good job. how did they get the last point? i stopped watching after 1st ot.
 
Lundqvist gave up another rebound. IMO, that's his weakness.
A shot from the right wing, rebound went to Lunqvist's right, and bang! Puck in the net. Game over. King's win!
 
Kings sure are the best at OT!! Had to win every series in OT to get to the finals, coming from behind several times, and fittingly, win the cup in OT.
Congrats.

Hockey, otherwise known as a disorganized brawl on skates. :mrgreen: Seriously, hockey is one of the bright spots in LA professional sports. And to think, it wasn't really all that long ago we didn't even know what hockey was in LA.

Now if we could just get an NFL team back. But as the folks who run the NFL have said in the past "the Los Angeles area cannot support an NFL team". In other words, the public and private sector didn't offer a big enough bribe.
 
At least there is one less . . . out of season . . . sport taking up TV time.

Sorry, but I find both hockey and basketball to resemble watching paint
dry. But then again I find football entertaining . . . for the first month.

Why can't we go back to having actual seasons for the sports?
Let's face it, football is getting started, baseball has been going for a while,
basketball is not done yet and hockey just finished last night.
Can anyone say MILKING the seasons and the public?

And let's not forget golf, which now runs from February to November. :roll:
 
Last nights game was one of the best I have ever seen. Both teams were playing 100%. The Kings earned the cup this year, no way to dispute that. Hockey is the only sport I can stand to watch on TV, much less of a "cult of personality" than NBA, NFL, and Baseball.
