Drove 1 1/2 hours one way yesterday to a gun show and found a SR9C with a black slide. It came home with me, just shot it with the wife and daughter in-law and they both want one. The pistol shot great, just hope I can find a couple more of them. Also what holster are you using to carry the SR9C in.

I bought my SR9c 2 months ago. 500 rounds and it shoots great. Everybody who shoots it likes it, even the Glock people. I'm curious about holsters also as I haven't got one yet.

Same question here about the holsters...need one and unsure what to get. Side note...about 500+ rounds through my bi-tone not a single hiccup. Great purchase! Congrats!

i open carry mine in a serpa. when I can, I plan on getting a crossbreed or something similar for CC as i have had one for a different gun and really liked it!

The least expensive satisfactory holster I know of is the Fobus model HK1. It fits both the SR9 and SR9c .

Ruger sells them from their web site shop as the paddle model in both right and left handed versions but most good gun shops should also have it in both paddle and belt models.

I bought one on amazon from shft gear for 60 bucks. its like the crossbreed. custom fit. has a leather backing and is adjustable. It also has free clips for life. I did a search for iwb holsters for sr9c and found it. My brother in-law looked for shft gear and couldnt find it. Search the way i explainded and it should be one of the first few in the list. I also have the Fobus HK1 and bought that on Amazon for 25 bucks or so. I like it but I feel it sticks out too much for concealing.

I have an OWB coming from Bear Creek Holsters. It should be here this week. Doug made me one for my LC9 that works very well. So, I thought that I would try one for my SR9c. I also have a belt from him. He does excellent work and the prices are pretty good also!

I bought a Nate Squared Tactical compact for my sr9c last week. Been wearing it around the house as I don't have my ccw permit yet. Very comfortable and barley noticeable iwb with a t-shirt over it.

I also have a Fobus paddle holster for my SR9c. I don't like IWB carry at all. The SR9c fits in the Fobus with a click and stays firmly in place. It takes a deliberate upward withdraw to get it out, not a problem for the wearer. If anyone tries to pull it out from behind or in front it won't budge. Its very comfortable too.

Although new to CC, I think if you ask 25 people about holsters, you're more than likely going to get 25 different answers. Myself, a friend showed me his Comp-Tac IWB and I fell in love with it, ordered it the next day.

Congrats on the new family member....

I carry mine in a Remora or Thies Holster (IWB).

As said you'll get 25+ ideas

Lateck,

I have 3 for the 9c- the Fobus paddle as above, the CB-ST and the Mitch Rosen belt holster from the Ruger Store. Prefer the MR leather, but usually use the CB-ST due to clothing. Also, because I use it the most I'm faster with the CB. But the Fobus is an excelletnt holster, and a good bit cheaper than the MR leather. Leather sure looks better, though. Of course, can't show it to anyone anyway.

Great pistol.
I bought mine at the start of the year, used my 20% off Ruger coupon and got the Mitch Rosen Laserguard holster....very nicely made and stitched, feels good too.

Agree, great pistol. I carry my SR9C (using 10rd magazine) IWB in a DeSantis 106 (D6) holster at about 4-430 forward cant. Comfortable fit for me.

Speaking of 10-rd mags Midway has them now, 31.99 I think. I have extra 17-rds but probably need to get a carry mag- the 10-rd- in case the one I have goes bad.
EDIT- Ordered last night, already shipped- man they're good. But it was 31.99, with shipping and round-up for NRA ended up $38.00 They have the 17-rd'ers in stock too, if anyoone is interetsed. Think they were 37.99, but don't quote me on that.

This is what I use...

Luv the SR9c it is a great gun to carry.

I carry it in a N82Tactical PRO holster -- nicest holster I've owned, comfortable, excellent retention, easy to draw and reholster. Take a look at them.

I have a N8 squared Tactical also, the original. They came out with the Pro version of the SR series about two weeks later :x
